Phil Keoghan Inks New Deal to Remain With 'The Amazing Race'

The host becomes a co-executive producer on the reality series and will develop content for CBS.

Phil Keoghan has signed a multiyear deal to continue on as host of CBS' The Amazing Race.

Under the deal, Keoghan -- who has hosted Race since its 2001 debut -- will develop content for the network and be credited as a co-executive producer on the seven-time Emmy-winning series.

The Sunday series was renewed in March for its 19th season after avering nearly 12 million viewers despite competition from NFL games on NBC. Race was up 3 percent in the coveted 18-49 demo and 2 percent with adults 25-54, according to Nielsen.

Keoghan is repped by ICM.
