'Pierre' short soars at SXSW
Dan Brown's short film "Pierre" took home the grand jury prize and the Animate-It award at the South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival's fourth annual SXSWclick Festival Friday. Other winners in each juried category were David Serota's "Ubuntu" (Really Real Shorts), Andrea Giacomini's "Always Near" (Sound Checks) and Tipper Newton's "The Timebox Twins" (What the F*#!?). Will Elliott's "Petersons Savings and Loan" took home both the juried Old School Shorts award and the Popularity Contest award, by earning more than 1,000 online votes.
