Pinewood loses contract for 'major film'

LONDON -- British film studio Pinewood Shepperton Plc. said on Thursday a customer for a major film had shut down production before shooting had commenced. A spokesman would not give the name of the film.

Pinewood said in a statement that while the terms of the customer's contracted use of film stages will be honored, the cancellation would hit ancillary film revenue by about 3 million pounds ($6.2 million), mainly in 2008.
