Kate Middleton's sister reveals a bit more about herself in new first book, "Celebrate," about party planning.

It’s not easy being Pippa Middleton, the sister of a Royal and one of the most admired fashion icons in the world.

"It is a bit startling to achieve global recognition before the age of 30 on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom," she writes in her new party-planning book Celebrate. "One day I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime, I think it’s fair to say that it has its upside and its downside."

At least she has a sense of humor about it all. But while Justin Timberlake approved of her figure, seen in full glory during the Royal Wedding, designer Karl Lagerfeld has openly said that he doesn’t like her face. What’s a girl to do? Ignore it all and shine on.

Kate Middleton’s sister has long been editing an online magazine called The Party Times for her family’s business, so it made good sense for her to write a book about party planning.

“I certainly have opportunities many can only dream of," she writes in the book that she hopes will let people know more about her. But she reportedly turned down one bit of exposure -- and a major book promoting opportunity -- appearing on Oprah.

One supposes her sister the Duchess of Cambridge’s fame makes up for losing the Oprah Winfrey audience.

"I know many of you will pick up the book out of nothing more than curiosity. [But] I can assure you that it feels even stranger to me than it probably does to you to have seen so much written about me when I have done so little to paint a picture of myself. This is my first chance to do that, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it."

Celebrate goes on sale at the end of the October. Just in time for holiday party planning. Will you buy Pippa's book?
