A suspect was reportedly shot by police
A suspect has died after being shot by police Friday night, reports ABC7.
Police shut down the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave. following a shooting involving a police officer, The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
Police arrived on the scene — a popular tourist spot — after receiving reports of a man with a knife at approximately 7 p.m. ABC7's Gisela Margarita tweeted a photograph of police officers pointing guns at a suspect, who was shown on the ground. The suspect was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
