The inaugural airing of Trump Tower Live kicked off the beginning of a series of nightly shows on the GOP nominee’s Facebook page Monday night, starting at 6:30 p.m. E.T, that will air from now through Election Day.
The first show, which drew more than 50,000 viewers, was hosted by campaign advisers Boris Epshteyn and Cliff Sims from the “war room” at Trump Tower, along with Trump’s campaign manager KellyAnne Conway, adviser Jason Miller and Tomi Lahren, a conservative commentator for Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze. The 30-minute analysis was later followed by a stream of Trump’s rally held on Monday night in Tampa, Fla., where he continued to target the media.
The livestream was posted on Trump’s Facebook with the message, “Join us LIVE at 6:30pmE! Our nightly campaign coverage from Trump Tower! This is a HISTORIC movement. Together, we will once again make a government by, for, and of the people! Help us close out the final weeks of this campaign strong and WIN. Contribute $10 Now >> www.DonaldJTrump.com/Live.”
The shows will run nightly for two weeks, according to CNNMoney. They come after Trump’s pre- and post-debate coverage livestream during Wednesday’s final presidential debate that aired on Facebook Live last week and drew more than 9 million views.
The livestream was being speculated as a possible preview toward Trump’s plans for a Trump TV network. Epshteyn, however, denied the theory in an interview with Wired: “We all know how strong the left wing media bias is. This is us delivering our message to voters. It has nothing to do with Trump TV. It’s about using 21st century technology and communication in a way that’s effective.”
