Donald Trump has received a lot of criticism for the way he has spoken about Megyn Kelly following a question she asked him about women during the GOP debate. On MSNBC’s Morning Joe Monday, Trump stood by the comments made, adding that he thinks Kelly should apologize to him for asking the “inappropriate” question.
“The fact is, she asked me a very inappropriate question, she should really be apologizing to me, you wanna know the truth,” said Trump while calling into the show. “Others of the — if you wanna call them — candidates came up to me at that intermission and said ‘boy, that was unfair what they did to you,’ and everyone felt that.”
During the GOP debate Kelly asked Trump about past negative statements he’s made about women, including calling women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.” Following the debate, Trump told CNN that Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”
While many people think that Trump was referring to menstruation, he insists he meant to say “nose and ears.” His criticism of Kelly continued on Monday, when he tweeted out a story about a past interview Kelly had with Howard Stern where she discussed her sex life and breasts. “Oh really, check out innocent Megyn Kelly discussion on Howard Stern show five years ago,” he tweeted. “I am the innocent (pure) one!”

The article quotes Shoebat.com website writers Walid and Theodore Shoebat, who called Kelly a hypocrite for being “for women’s rights” but then “climbing up the ladder” by talking about her “private sex life which is supposed to be sacred.”
“She laughs and is okay with Stern discussing penises, breasts, in a very trashy nonchalant way,” they wrote, saying Kelly should apologize to Trump. “And what about her husband? What man would allow his daughter or wife to get on some public adult radio and have a sleaze bucket talk sex with them? This is not a private matter. Kelly made this public.”
In his MSNBC interview, Trump refused to answer whether or not he’s spoken to Roger Ailes or anybody from Fox News following the debate. “I don’t want to say that,” said Trump. “My whole life has been led on the theory that I don’t want to embarrass people.” He later tweeted that Ailes had called him to assure him he would be treated fairly on Fox.
Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that “Trump” will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good!

Trump went on a string of interviews on Monday, repeatedly insisting that he meant to refer to Kelly’s nose and ears and saying he would be the best president on women’s issues. He told Today‘s Savannah Guthrie that “you could make the case” that Kelly was a bimbo, when she asked him about his retweeting someone who called her a bimbo.
“Do you think she’s a bimbo?” asked Guthrie. “Well I thought, I thought the kind of questions she was asking me were inappropriate and they were the questions that somebody — you could make the case. Look, look I was not asked about jobs. I was not asked about, uh, you know nuclear, I was not asked about all of the problems. I wasn’t asked about things that other people were asked about. And despite that, almost every poll has me having won the debate.”
