Donald Trump on Saturday morning floated the idea of inviting Gennifer Flowers to Monday’s presidential debate in response to a growing feud with Mark Cuban.
Flowers made headlines in the 1990s when she said she had a sexual relationship with Bill Clinton. In July, Trump told The Hollywood Reporter that he would not go over the Monica Lewinsky line unless he was pushed to do so by Hillary Clinton.
Cuban on Friday said he was attending the debate and would be sitting in the front row. One of Clinton’s aides told CNN the campaign had invited the NBA team owner to the event. Cuban endorsed Clinton over the summer and has been taking public shots at Trump ever since.
“If dopey Mark Cuban of failed Benefactor fame wants to sit in the front row, perhaps I will put Gennifer Flowers right alongside of him!” tweeted Trump. The GOP presidential nominee sent out an original tweet with the same statement, but misspelling Flowers’ name.

Later in the day, Flowers tweeted that she planned to attend the debate and support Trump.
“Hi Donald. You know I’m in your corner and will definitely be at the debate!” tweeted Flowers.

The Benefactor was a short-lived ABC reality series that premiered in 2004 starring Cuban. Trump is the former host of The Apprentice. Cuban now appears on Shark Tank.
Cuban, a fellow billionaire, responded to the Flowers tweet.
“Donald. Remember when you told me on the phone we were ‘Bobbsie Twins’ and I laughed ? #truestory,” tweeted Cuban.

The Bobbsey Twins books are children’s adventure stories.
Cuban also made headlines earlier in the week when he offered Trump $10 million for a one-on-one interview about his candidacy. Trump never responded to the offer.
NBC’s Lester Holt will moderate Monday’s debate, which will be held at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
Trump’s campaign did not return a request for additional comment.
