Hillary Clinton and her vice presidential pick Tim Kaine will appear on 60 Minutes for their first joint interview, the TV news program announced Friday.
Shortly following Clinton’s Friday evening reveal that Virginia Sen. Kaine will join her in the Democratic race for the White House, CBS shared that the pair will appear on the show this upcoming Sunday evening.
“Hillary Clinton and her running mate Tim Kaine will appear on #60Minutes in their first joint interview, Sunday at 7 PM ET/PT on CBS,” the official 60 Minutes Twitter account tweeted.
Scott Pelley is scheduled to conduct the interview Saturday afternoon, the network announced in a statement.
Clinton tweeted of choosing Kaine as her vice presidential running mate, “I’m thrilled to announce my running mate, @TimKaine, a man who’s devoted his life to fighting for others,” followed by, “.@TimKaine is a relentless optimist who believes no problem is unsolvable if you put in the work to solve it.”
The interview will air Sunday, July 24, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
