Hillary Clinton is endorsing the mismatched, complementary shoe trend.
The politician on Monday stepped out for the Memorial Day parade in Chappaqua, N.Y., where she now resides, wearing a pair of red, white and blue sneakers — the right emblazoned with blue stars and the left with red stripes.

Fans on social media praised her patriotic kicks, which the former presidential candidate paired with a white coat, striped blue shirt (with the collar popped) and red, white and blue umbrella while hitting the street with former President Bill Clinton at her side. (Her hubby opted for his go-to: a navy tracksuit and his very own pair of patriotic sneakers.) After the parade, Hillary posed for photos with admirers while paying homage to service men and women.
Post-election, she has been more relaxed with her style, trading monochromatic pantsuits and kitten heels for leather jackets, bold floral prints and even a hot pink shoe from Katy Perry’s label, which was named in her honor. Compared even to last year’s parade, for which Hillary donned a buttoned-up blue coat and ballet flats, the politician appears to be embracing the new, casual-cool style.
