AP ImagesToday correspondent Jenna Bush Hager and her husband Henry Hager welcomed their second baby girl, Poppy Louise Hager, on Thursday.
The news of the new baby and story behind her name were revealed on Today‘s website. The couple named their daughter after Jenna’s grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, who grew up with the nickname “Poppy.”
“We are so proud to name her after a man we so adore,” Henry told Today.
The baby’s middle name, Louise, was given in honor of Jenna and Henry’s grandparents, Louise and Lewis.
The couple are also parents to Mila Hager, 2, whose full name is Margaret Laura, in honor of her grandmothers.
