Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton‘s shoe choices speak loud and clear for her, as they do for all women, and her selection for this week’s presentation of Princess Charlotte was no exception. Kate sticks to the most classic silhouettes, and rarely deviates, staying consistent with what appears to reflect her personality, which seems well-tempered, always well put together and exceedingly polite.

She makes no wild statements through her shoes and instead focuses on shapes and colors that are neutral and appropriate. Her favorite heels, so far, have been the Stuart Weitzman Corkswoon wedge, coming in at four-and-a-half inches high (but with a one-and-a-half-inch platform to mitigate that height)’ the LK Bennett nude mini-platform pumps, which basically launched the brand to the world stage; and now the Jimmy Choo “Gilbert” round-toed nude pumps.
Middleton started wearing the brand a few years ago, flashing a bit of the “Vamp” platform sandal in silver as early as 2013, which quickly became a go-to favorite for her red-carpet events. This past weekend she chose the Gilbert in nude — a three-and-a-quarter-inch round-toe pump.
Sandra Choi, the creative force behind Jimmy Choo, said, “It is a tremendous honour that the Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear Jimmy Choos on this momentous occasion [of] the birth of her daughter, the Royal Princess. She looks radiant and we wish her all the happiness at this special time.”
