President Obama Calls Joe Biden ‘America’s Happy Warrior’ During Victory Speech

After declared the winner, President Barack Obama addressed supporters in Chicago in a victory speech. But he made sure to drop in a few jokes.

As he thanked his family and team, Obama — wearing a blue tie — specifically thanked Vice President Joe Biden, coining a new nickname for his partner. “I want to thank my friend and partner of the last four years, America’s happy warrior, the best vice president anyone could ever hope for: Joe Biden,” Obama said.

Moments after Obama uttered BIden’s new nickname, the phrase shot to the top of Twitter’s trending topics with people taking to microblogging website in reaction.

He also professed his love for wife and First Lady Michelle Obama and joking to his daughters Sasha and Malia, that “one dog is enough.”
