President Barack Obama will hold a screening of Selma at The White House, The Washington Post reports.
Director Ava DuVernay and her cast are invited to the screening, which will take place at The White House Friday.

The film, which stars David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King Jr., earned Oscar nominations for Best Picture, original song, but failed to get nominations for director DuVernay or Oyelowo. The film tells the backstory of King’s 1965 civil rights march in Alabama from Selma to Montgomery.
According to The Post, the crowd will include Common, who collaborated with John Legend on the song “Glory,”which earned a best original song) Oscar.
Selma studio Paramount did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
