The Hollywood Reporter's look at the Oscars shows that Sandra Bullock’s win fares much better in viewers’ memories.

A surprisingly low amount of Oscar viewers remember that the critical darling Hurt Locker won the Academy Award for best picture in the 82nd Academy Awards.

Only four in 10 viewers could recall the best picture winner, according to an exclusive poll featured in this week’s The Hollywood Reporter.

The poll of 700 award show viewers was conducted for THR by the global research company Penn Schoen Berland.

Sandra Bullock fared much better than the best picture. Nearly seven in 10 viewers remembered The Blind Side star took home the best actress award.

The poll also showed that  54% of viewers said they approve of James Franco and Anne Hathaway as Oscar hosts. "Oscar is on his way to being more accessible, fresh and cool," says lead pollster Jon Penn.
