PR, marketing powerhouses merge

New firm combines BNC and PMK/HBH

NEW YORK -- Entertainment public relations and marketing powerhouses BNC and PMK/HBH on Tuesday made their merger official.

The combined firm, which will operate as of Jan. 1 with offices in Los Angeles and New York, will be known as PMK·BNC. Both agencies were part of advertising and communications holding company Interpublic.

The new company will rep hundreds of creatives, personalities and brands in the entertainment world. For the corporate world, it will offer entertainment marketing, sponsorship, product placement and integration, outreach and event marketing, among other things.

BNC chairman and CEO Michael Nyman will serve as chairman and CEO of PMK·BNC. Current PMK/HBH co-CEO Cindi Berger will also carry the title of chairman and CEO and will focus on the entertainment and media relations portion of the business. BNC president and COO Chris Robichaud will also have the title of CEO;, focusing on the company's operations and the consumer brand marketing and PR businesses. Brad Cafarelli, a co-founder of BNC, becomes vice chairman.
