That prospect could lie ahead after Canadian distributor Distraction Formats sold the political reality show format for the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.'s "The Next Great Prime Minister" to United Arab Emirates-based Pyramedia.
The Middle Eastern and North African TV producer intends to develop a local version of the Canadian format, to be hosted by company head Nashwa Al Ruwaini.
The local format rights for "Prime Minister" also have been sold into the U.K., Benelux and German markets.
