The cast of the hit musical 'Hamilton,' as well as Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo of 'The Color Purple,' paid special musical tributes.

Broadway paid tribute to Prince, who tragically died on Thursday at the age of 57.

Jennifer Hudson, appearing in the current revival of The Color Purple, shared a personal Prince story and then joined the show's lead, Cynthia Erivo, in a powerful, heart-wrenching performance of "Purple Rain" with backing from the rest of the cast.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and the ensemble of his hit musical Hamilton finished the performance with a rousing rendition of "Let's Go Crazy."
