Prince Launching Secret Hit & Run U.S. Tour

The first concert will take place May 14 at a not-yet-revealed venue in Louisville, Ky.

Prince is preparing to keep his fans guessing.

The mercurial music icon has announced that he and backup band 3rdEyeGirl are launching the U.S. leg of the Hit & Run tour, which begins March 14 at a not-yet-disclosed venue in Louisville, Ky.

During Prince's recent European tour of the same name, shows were announced with very little notice, which appears to be the case for the stateside run as well, as no other dates or cities for the U.S. tour have been released.

Tickets for the Louisville performance go on sale March 9 at 10 a.m. through Live Nation, with a part of the proceeds benefiting local charities. Louisville was chosen as the first location because it is the hometown of the band's drummer, Hannah Welton

Prince has kept busy of late. In 2014, he released two studio albums, performed on Saturday Night Live and was a presenter at last month's Grammys.
