Pro Golfer Bubba Watson Painting Over Confederate Flag on His General Lee
The third-ranked golfer in the world bought one of the official cars at an auction several years back for $110,000
NASCAR isn't the only sport coming down against the Confederate flag.
Bubba Watson, the third-ranked golfer in the world and two-time Master champion, announced on Thursday via Twitter that he's making some changes to the official General Lee car he bought at an auction several years ago for $110,000.
All men ARE created equal, I believe that so I will be painting the American flag over the roof of the General Lee #USA— bubba watson (@bubbawatson) July 2, 2015
This announcement came shortly after NASCAR issued a statement and asked fans to stop flying the flag at racetracks. It's also the latest move against the TV show "Dukes of Hazzard" following the shootings in Charleston, South Carolina. Earlier this week, TV Land announced it was pulling the show from the air. Also, Warner Brothers recently announced it would stop licensing the General Lee.
