PTC disapproves of racy Miley Cyrus video

Says 'sexualized' 'Who Owns My Heart?' clip is 'unfortunate'

Miley Cyrus' new video for her single "Who Owns My Heart?" has caught the attention of the Parents Television Council, TMZ reported.

In the video, the 17-year-old is seen in lingerie rolling around on a bed and putting makeup on in a bathroom. The video also features Cyrus on the dance floor at a nightclub, where the singer-actress rubs her chest and dances suggestively with several men. [Watch the clip here.]

"It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one," PTC president Tim Winter told TMZ.

"It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."

It's not the first time Cyrus has courted controversy. Last year, she was criticized for pole dancing while performing her song "Party in the USA" at the Teen Choice Awards.
