The ID PR rep's first client as a manager will be actress America Ferrera.

Veteran Hollywood publicist Carrie Byalick is leaving ID PR to start her own talent management firm, she tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Byalick, who has spent nearly 18 years at ID and counts among her publicity clients Amy Schumer, Stephen Colbert and Billy Eichner, will exit the top PR shop this month to launch a management shingle called "B." Her first managerial client will be actress America Ferrera, who will remain with ID for publicity.

"When I started at ID, I was 7," Byalick jokes in a statement to THR. "I have benefited from the extraordinarily collaborative energy at ID, led by my mentor Kelly Bush Novak. This is a move I've thought about for a long while, and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to take this leap with so much support."

New York-based Byalick, who also has represented Vera Farmiga, Andy Samberg and John Krasinski, is known for her hands-on approach to publicity, which could translate well as she shifts to a manager role, guiding the careers of clients. The split from ID is said to be amicable.

"It brings me great joy to see someone with Carrie's immense talent take her career in an exciting new direction," Bush Novak, ID's CEO, says in a statement. "She's a terrific advocate, creative strategist and a dear friend. I have no doubt she will flourish in this new role and I look forward to our continued collaboration."
