Quartet pulled in for thriller 'Push'


Chris Evans, Djimon Hounsou, Dakota Fanning and Camilla Belle are set to star in "Push," a supernatural thriller being directed by Paul McGuigan.

Summit Entertainment, Icon Prods. and Infinity Features are jointly making the movie, with Summit financing and distributing in North America and most worldwide territories. Icon is co-financing and will release the film in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand and will sell film rights in Asia and South Africa.

"Push," written by David Bourla, revolves around a group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities who hide from a U.S. government agency in Hong Kong. They must use their different talents and band together to try to escape the control of the division.

Infinity's William Vince and Icon's Bruce Davey are producing.

Principal photography is set to start in the fall in Hong Kong.

Infinity found the high-concept script and partnered with Icon on the project. Summit was then brought in to finance, produce and distribute the film.

Endeavor-repped McGuigan most recently directed "Lucky Number Slevin."

Evans starred as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" and currently appears in Danny Boyle's "Sunshine." He is repped by CAA and Kass 7 Stokes Management.

Hounsou, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in "Blood Diamond," recently wrapped Jeff Wadlow's "Get Some." Hounsou is repped by Gersh, the Safran Company and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.

Fanning, repped by Osbrink Talent Agency, One Talent Management and attorney Steve Warren, will next appear in the ensemble drama "Winged Creatures."

Belle starred in "When a Stranger Calls" and will next be seen running with sabertooths in Warners' "10,000 B.C." she is repped by CAA, attorney Marcy Morris and manager Deborah Gould.
