Rachel Shane Joins OddLot as Executive VP Production

She will oversee the company's slate, its co-presidents Michael Nathanson and Bill Lischak announced.

Rachel Shane is joining OddLot Entertainment as its new executive vp production.

She will oversee all aspects of OddLot’s slate, reporting to co-presidents Michael Nathanson and Bill Lischak, who announced her appointment Monday.

Shane comes to OddLot from Red Wagon Entertainment, where she also held the title of executive vp production and was involved in such films as Lawless, which she executive produced; Gorgeous, which is set up at Lionsgate; and Taped, which is at Sony. Before joining Red Wagon in 2000, Shane was a story editor/creative assistant at Tall Trees Productions and before that worked for such other companies as  Imagine Entertainment and Televisa.

“OddLot is poised to continue to grow its production slate in the years ahead, and we have great confidence in Rachel leading those efforts,” Nathanson and Lischak said in a joint statement. “Her background in the industry makes her the right hire for us as we continue to expand our production and development slate.”

OddLot produced The Way, Way Back, which is now in release via Fox Searchlight, as well as Ender’s Game, co-financed by Summit Entertainment, which will release the sci-fi tale domestically Nov. 1.
