The stars of Sam Raimi's "Oz: The Great and Powerful" and Chan-Wood Park's "Stoker" wore similar gowns by Louis Vuitton and Vera Wang. But who wore it best?

Actresses have found a new way to wear short, sexy skirts without losing too much of the glamour factor.

Rachel Weisz and Nicole Kidman both recently slipped into designer dresses with split personalities: gowns that feature a sheer long skirt over a shorter one.

Weisz wore a black strapless Louis Vuitton gown that had a dotted sheer cap-sleeved upper and a dotted sheer long skirt to the Golden Globes. Her look clearly pleased her husband, Daniel Craig, aka James Bond.

And Kidman, on the arm of country-singer husband Keith Urban at the Grammys, chose an ornately embroidered gold gown by Vera Wang with a similar sheer skirt effect. Anne Hathaway was also spotted at the Les Miserables screening at the Berlin Film Festival in a similar style.

Both Kidman and Weisz also have unusual films due out in March.

Weisz stars in Sam Raimi'Oz, The Great and Powerful as Evanora, the deliciously evil Wicked Witch of the East. She's more powerful than Theodora, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West (Mila Kunis) but not as powerful as Glinda, the Good Witch of the South (Michelle Williams).

Kidman stars in Korean director Park Chan-Wook’s first English-language film, the taut and creepy thriller Stoker. Mia Wasikowska plays Kidman's daughter, and Matthew Goode is well cast as the suspiciously smarmy Uncle Charlie, who gets a psychological hold on Wasikowska’s unstable character India.

Stoker opens on Mar. 1, 2013. Oz hits theaters on Mar. 8.

But enough about the actresses' upcoming movies. Who gets your vote for best bi-level gown?
