NO LIBYA FOR LOPEZ: Over the years, the Libyan strongman has also shelled out big bucks for American pop stars to entertain him and his clan. Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Usher and 50 Cent are a few of the acts who have reportedly been paid up to $1 million to perform in Libya, albeit before this year’s violent government crackdown. Only a few months back, a source tells THR, Jennifer Lopez was offered a $2 million gig performing for the Libyan head of state, though her producing partner Simon Fields staunchly denies the offer. We hear Lopez immediately turned it down, probably realizing it could be politically treacherous and ill-received. Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado tweeted Feb. 28: “In 2007, I received $1 million from the Gaddafi clan to perform a 45-minute show for guests at a hotel in Italy. I am going to donate the $.

Dior’s Celebrity Fallout
On Oscar Night, after Dior’s John Galliano’s anti-Semitic remarks circled the world, Natalie Portman — the spokeswoman for Miss Dior Cherie perfume — is believed to have scratched a Dior gown in favor of Rodarte. She soon distanced herself from Galliano in a statement. Nicole Kidman was perhaps not reading the papers as closely; she wore Dior Haute Couture to the Oscars. Meanwhile, Charlize Theron, who almost always wears Dior and is the face of J’Adore perfume, donned Versace at the Vanity Fair party. What does Theron have to say about the controversy? Her rep wouldn’t comment. Sharon Stone, however, wore Dior to Elton John’s viewing party, having long been the spokeswoman for its Capture Totale skincare line. “I’m very proud to be working with Dior,” Stone told THR. “This issue is not mine to discuss. If you want to discuss this matter further, please speak to the people at Dior.” We tried but were referred to crisis PR firm Kekst, which simply sent us Dior CEO Sidney Toledano’s previously released statement. Insiders in the New York fashion industry say the contretemps is particularly embarrassing to the brand because Toledano is Jewish. Sources also tell THR that an e-mail flew around to hundreds of L.A.-based Dior shoppers Feb. 28 advocating a boycott. Then a second e-mail followed, saying, “They already fired him and did the right thing, so no need to boycott.” But we do hear lots of Hollywood fashionistas — including celebs and stylists — are shedding their Dior bags and shoes on eBay.

Power Lunch
It doesn’t get any more powerful: Last week, Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin were lunching at the Polo Lounge when Hawn’s daughter Kate Hudson blew in, waved and got her own table. Next, they were greeted by designer Valentino and a friend. Finally, Ashley Olsen came over to pay tribute. The day before, designer Michael Kors lunched there. … Amy Adams was spotted having lunch at The Blvd at the Beverly Wilshire, across the room from Colin Farrell; Jacki Weaver dined there the following day. … Lawrence Bender and Christoph Waltz at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills. … Danny Boyle breakfasting at Culina the morning after the Academy Awards. … The real power breakfast that morning, though, was at Mo’s in Burbank, where Colin Firth and wife Livia Giuggioli digested his Oscar win.
