MICK MEANS BUSINESS: Mick Jagger just released a CD as part of the supergroup SuperHeavy. He's producing several movies. And now he's dipping a toe into TV. Jagger was spotted Oct. 6 with HBO brass at Craft, and the network confirms he's had a project in development there for a long time (though it won't comment on what it is). Meanwhile, Mick isn't that up on TV icons: While lunching at Matsuhisa with production partner Victoria Pearman, Happy Days' Henry Winkler came over to introduce himself. But Mick didn't have a clue who the Fonz was. He had to whisper to Pearman to find out.
The Second Lady of California Speaks Out
Actress Jennifer Siebel Newsom (Something's Gotta Give), wife of California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, is attempting a neo-feminist revolution with her documentary Miss Representation. "It points out how the media does not communicate women's brainpower, only sexuality and youth," she explains. Siebel Newsom got Katie Couric, Rachel Maddow, Condoleezza Rice, Nancy Pelosi and Gloria Steinem for the doc, which Oprah Winfrey snapped up at Sundance; it airs Oct. 20 on OWN. "Reality shows about housewives and provocative sisters devalue women. They're about money, not reality," Siebel Newsom tells THR while on a speaking tour to promote her message. "We're here to create a social and cultural movement -- it's not political. And Gavin's abig supporter."
Cohen's Reality Check
Real Housewives series creator and Bravo executive vp Andy Cohen's name has been bandied about as a replacement for Regis Philbin when he steps down Nov. 18 from Live! With Regis and Kelly. (Others mentioned include Ryan Seacrest, Jeff Probst and Mark Consuelos.) Cohen has filled in for Reege and had pal Kelly Ripa on his Bravo talk show. But sources reveal to THR that Cohen has turned down the daytime co-host job. His agents at CAA aren't saying why -- or even confirming he was offered the gig. Maybe Cohen's not in need of a salary hike because he's reportedly getting a seven-figure advance for his memoir from Henry Holt? Or maybe he's looking to launch his own talk show?
A Legend Canonized
When Dyan Cannon shows up at West Hollywood's Book Soup on Oct. 14 to promote her book Dear Cary: My Life With Cary Grant (It Books, $25.99), she'll be trailed by a crew from ABC's 20/20, which is covering the making of her in-progress documentary on Hollywood street teens. Cannon tells THR that publishers (including a years-back personal pitch from Doubleday editor Jackie Onassis) had long been after her to write a tell-all memoir. But Cannon only wanted to pen "what happens when a great romance goes south -- and ours was great -- and how you pick yourself up again." Still, Cannon, 74, says she "takes my clothes off" in the book, "letting it all show." Much has been made of the dark stuff (Grant's broken childhood, his fascination with LSD, his Svengali-like control of Cannon, 33 years his junior), but what surprised the actress most about writing the book was "how much I mourn him."
Isn't Fox Romantic?

Fox Filmed Entertainment co-chairman Jim Gianopulos and wife Ann are event chairs Oct. 15 on the Sony lot. The musical acts, conducted by John Mauceri, include Zeta-Jones, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Carol Channing, Darren Criss, Zachary Levi, Matthew Morrison and Kristin Chenoweth. Tickets can be purchased by calling MPTF at (818) 876 1935.
