Range Media Signs 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Concrete Cowboy,' 'Gangs of London' Directors

Tim Van Patten, Ricky Staub & Dan Walser, and Corin Hardy are among the latest crop of talent that have joined the recently-launched company.

Upstart management firm Range Media Partners has added several notable filmmakers to its roster.

Tim Van Patten, Niclas Larsson, Ricky Staub & Dan Walser, Corin Hardy and Cédric Jimenez have joined the company that was launched by a group of agents formerly of CAA, UTA and WME.

Van Patten is a key HBO director, having helmed episodes of The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and most recently, Perry Mason.

Staub and Walser are the creative duo behind Toronto Film Festival sensation Concrete Cowboy, which starred Idris Elba and Caleb McLaughlin. Staub directed and co-wrote the drama with Walser. Their production company, Neighborhood Films, also runs an apprenticeship program that recruits the formerly incarcerated to help them develop a versatile skill set that they can parlay into future opportunities.

Hardy directed horror movies The Hallow and New Line’s The Nun and is coming off of the buzzy gritty crime drama Gangs of London. He is also an illustrator and sculptor.

Jimenez is a French producer, director and writer behind internationally acclaimed features The Connection and The Man With the Iron Heart. His next feature, Stronhold, will debut on Netflix on Christmas Day.

Larsson is an award winning commercial director/writer.

Agency-wise, Van Patten continues to be repped by CAA, Larsson by repped by UTA attorney Warren Dern and commercial agent MJZ. Hardy is additionally repped by WME, Independent Talent Group and Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson. Jimenez is repped WME and Film Talents. Staub and Walser are repped by WME and Cuffe Owens.
