Ratings: 'Event' dips, 'Mike & Molly' steady

'Castle' up; 'Hawaii Five-O,' 'DWTS' down from last week

NBC's "The Event" took another dip in the ratings Monday, while ABC's "Castle" continued to grow and Fox's "Lie to Me" returned as a replacement for the canceled "Lone Star."

Meanwhile, at CBS, a slight decline for "Hawaii Five-0" was made up for by a small gain for fellow newcomer "Mike & Molly," a promising sign for the freshman comedy.

ABC won the night in the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.9 primetime rating, ahead of CBS' 3.6 and Fox's 2.5.

ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" (20.1 million viewers, 4.3 preliminary rating in adults 18-49) was down 10% compared with last week but drew the night's largest audience. CBS' 9 p.m. hour also scored well in the demo, driven by "Two and a Half Men" (14.2 million, 4.5).

With a minute of "Dancing" overrun, "Castle" (11.9 million, 3.0) rose 7% compared with last week and performed in the vicinity of new CBS shows "Hawaii" (12 million, 3.5), down 3% from last week, and "Molly" (12.3 million, 3.8), up 3%.

On NBC, "The Event" (7.5 million, 2.4) was down 17% compared with last week during the first half-hour and 20% during its second; it fell 33% from its premiere. "Chase" (5.8 million, 1.7) dropped 16.5% on average from last week.

For Fox, the return of "Lie" (6 million, 2.2) was down 24% compared with last year's premiere. "House" (10.5 million, 3.9) gained about 5% from last week's performance.
