Reason brings 'Brainwashing' tactics to film

Reason Pictures has acquired the untitled Teen Brainwashing project, a feature pitch from writers Kevin Walsh and Gotham Chopra. The story revolves around a group of troubled high school students who are remanded to a "finishing school" that is actually remote detention center where they are disciplined and placed under lockdown as they plot an escape attempt. Chopra is the chief creative officer and editor in chief of the newly launched Virgin Comics, which debuted its first three titles at July's Comic-Con International. Walsh recently worked as an assistant director "Munich." "Brainwashing" is Chopra and Walsh's second collaboration. Reason CEO Ben Goldhirsh will produce along with producers Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy, who brought the initial concept to the writers. Bristol Baughan and Chris Koch will oversee development for Reason. Chopra and Walsh were repped by CAA and manager Seth Jaret of Jaret Entertainment.
