Rebecca Hall attends the 'Downsizing' premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Aug. 30, 2017.

Embellishments for days.

The Dress: A head-to-toe embellished single-shoulder gown from the Giorgio Armani Prive Couture fall 2017 collection that was shown in July.

The Wearer: British-American actress Rebecca Hall

The Event: At the Downsizing premiere and opening night of the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday, where Hall was joined by Kristen Wiig (in a Zuhair Murad Couture gown) on the red carpet.

Why It Matters: Hall made quite the entrance when she stepped out in an Armani Prive Couture gown that was fully embellished in shimmery sequins, and seemed to pay homage to the Italian city known for its annual carnival with its elaborate masquerade masks and extravagant outfits. Unlike the runway model, the 35-year-old star opted out of a veiled black beanie. Instead she let the 3D, confetti-like embellishment of the gown do all the talking and kept her hair down and makeup minimal.

The actress, who stood out earlier in the day in an Altuzarra floral-print frock, was thrilled with her gown, too. "Who's grinning about heading to #venicefilmfestival opening gala red carpet? Me apparently," she captioned on Instagram alongside a photo of her in the high-fashion look. "Thank you @armani for the dreamy shimmy ready frock." Shimmy on, sister.
