Rebecca Hall joins Linklater dramedy

Kat Dennings previously cast in 'Liars A-E'

Rebecca Hall has been cast as the lead in Richard Linklater's road dramedy "Liars A-E."

The actress will play the role of Bacall Loomis, a woman who sets out on a road trip during the Obama inauguration to reclaim items that used to be hers from ex-boyfriends.

Kat Dennings had previously been cast to play a friend of the Loomis character. Miramax and Scott Rudin are collaborating on the project.

Hall, repped by Julian Belfrage & Associates and WME, broke out in Woody Allen's "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" last year, a role which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She's next to star in the Nicole Holofcener dramedy "Please Give" as well as the Ben Affleck heist drama "The Town."

She was also just seen in "Dorian Gray," the update on the classic Oscar Wilde tale that played the Toronto International Film Festival.
