Rebel Wilson to Star in, Produce 'Senior Year' Comedy

The Paramount Players high school comedy will be directed by Alex Hardcastle.

Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson is on board to star in the high school comedy Senior Year for Paramount Players, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Alex Hardcastle will direct the film about a cheerleader who wakes from a 20-year coma and returns to high school to earn the prom queen crown that she missed the first time around. Brandon Scott Jones penned the Senior Year script.

Wilson will share producer credits with Todd Garner and Chris Bender. The executive producer credits on Senior Year are shared by Jeremy Stein, Jake Wagner and Jake Weiner.

Wilson starred in Takia Waititi's Jojo Rabbit, the Nazi satire that also featured Scarlett Johansson, and in New Line’s ensemble rom-com Isn’t It Romantic, which also starred Liam Hemsworth and Priyanka Chopra.

Hardcastle's directing credits include Grace and FrankieLove, Simon; and You’re the WorstHe is repped by CAA and Artists First.
