Red Arrow Signs Exclusive Production Deal with Genetic Entertainment

Production arm of European TV giant ProSiebenSat.1 inks deal with production house set up by David Wyler, Lincoln Hiatt and Curt Northrup.

BERLIN -- Red Arrow Entertainment Group, the production arm of European TV giant ProSiebenSat.1, has signed an exclusive first-look deal with Genetic Entertainment, the neophyte production house set up by reality-show veterans David Wyler, Lincoln Hiatt and Curt Northrup.

Under the deal, Red Arrow gets first crack at adapting new Genetic formats for the international market as well as the right to handle worldwide sales through ProSieben's sales arm SevenOne International. Genetic will retain U.S. rights to their formats.

Genetic has already found buyers across Europe for its new reality competition format Home Sweet Hotel and game show Beat the Average.

Red Arrow's Genetic deal follows similar first look and development deals with Deal or No Deal creator Dick de Rijk and with U.S. reality show producer Phil Gurin (Singing Bee, Miss USA).

All are part of Red Arrow's strategy of getting in on the ground floor of new format development to better secure properties for ProSiebenSat.1's pan-European network of TV channels.
