Red Carpet: Grammy Weekend
Album sales may be down but when it comes to music on TV, audiences are tuning in. The 53rd annual Grammy Awards, which featured a slew of buzzworthy collaborations including Bob Dylan with Mumford & Sons, Eminem with Dr. Dre and Rihanna, and a tribute to Aretha Franklin featuring Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch, Yolanda Adams and Martina McBride, saw its biggest ratings in a decade, thanks largely to Lady Gaga’s egg-tastic entrance. Heads turned at the myriad parties too, where artists and execs mingled into the wee hours. The best soirees also were the most exclusive, like Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton and Interscope head Jimmy Iovine’s hang atop the L’Ermitage hotel, where Gaga, Dre and Snoop Dogg performed.
