CANNES -- ITV Global Entertainment has struck more than 20 international home entertainment licenses for the digital restoration of Michael Powell's "The Red Shoes," which premiered in Cannes on Friday.

The licenses include: Atlantic Films AB (Scandinavia), Magna Pacific (Australia), Filmax (Spain) and ITV DVD (U.K.).

On Friday, ITV and the Film Foundation together with Oscar-winning film editor, Thelma Schoonmaker, Powell's widow, and director Martin Scorsese, hosted a screening of "The Red Shoes" in Cannes.

Scorsese said, "Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger created a vision in 'The Red Shoes' that has really never been matched. Truly the most beautiful Technicolor film ever made."
