Reelz Renews Carriage Deal on Dish Network

The general entertainment channel will be carried on America’s Top 120 programming packages.

Dish Network has renewed its contract to carry the Reelz channel on its America’s Top 120 programing packages and other higher tiers, it was announced Thursday.

There were no details revealed as to the length of the agreement or the terms.

Reelz is a general entertainment channel that offers factual shows, reality programs, miniseries movies and other programming. Its original programming has included The Kennedys, Branson Taxi and Autopsy: The Last Hours of.

It also showcases movies critic Leonard Maltin who recommends movies and provides back stories about movies.

Reelz, which is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting and headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, reaches just under 70 million U.S. TV homes or about 59 percent of the country.

Dish reaches just under 14 million pay TV homes through its satellite delivered services.
