The Golden Globe nominee tapped the pros at Arcona Studio to get her red-carpet ready.

Regina King, star of ABC’s American Crime and Golden Globe nominee, needs no help in the beauty department, but when she’s prepping for awards shows, she calls on the skin whisperers at The Arcona Studio in Santa Monica. Since its foundation in 1989, the brand has been a trailblazer in clean beauty, foregoing toxic parabens, dyes, artificial fragrances and chemical stabilizers in favor of safe, pure and effective ingredients in its product line. And nobody knows this better than King, who has been turning to these savvy pros since 2004 to get her ready for her awards-season close-ups.

Ahead of the Golden Globes, no offering was better suited for this than Arcona’s Red Carpet Radiance Facial. "Imperfections are reduced, leaving skin bright, glowing, hydrated, tightened, firm, lifted and beautiful,” says lead esthetician Brandi Brown of the treatment, which kicks off with a customized fruit enzyme peel and a signature contour facial massage, which incorporates manual lymphatic drainage.

Next, masks designed to treat various conditions work their magic on different areas of the face, followed by a potent LED light treatment. "LED improves skin tone and texture and minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles,” explains Brown. "We use a combination of blue light to treat acne and red to reduce inflammation. The LED light leaves skin with a noticeably rejuvenated healthy glow.” For the finishing touches: serums applied under an oxygen spray and a combination of eye products, a hydrating balm and SPF (natch). Says Brown, "We like to layer, using lighter products assisting with deeper penetration into the skin."
