Relativity Digital Sets August Premiere for Musical 'Summer Forever' (Exclusive)
The first feature film from Relativity's digital arm stars Megan Nicole, Alyson Stoner and Anna Grace Barlow as three friends who vow to make their last weekend of summer before college truly epic.
Relativity Digital Studios is making the move into films with musical Summer Forever.
Set to be released on digital platforms this August, Summer Forever stars singer-songwriter Megan Nicole, Alyson Stoner (Step Up) and Anna Grace Barlow (Scream Queens) as three friends about to leave for college who vow to make their last weekend of summer the most epic weekend of their lives. With just 48 hours left before they go their separate ways, the girls sing, dance, break rules, chase boys and experience a weekend that with solidify their friendship forever. Stephen Colletti (Laguna Beach), Ryan McCartan (Royal Pains) and Daphne Zuniga (Melrose Place) also star.
"Summer Forever is a first-of-its-kind digital musical with a millennial voice," said RDS president Lisa Eisenpresser. "We think this represents a new model for how studios can partner with social influencers to reimagine both distribution and marketing of digital movies in today’s converging landscape."
Summer Forever, which was shot in Los Angeles, was directed by Roman White, who is repped by Anonymous and attorney Eric Brooks, with original music from Sam Hollander (Smash) and written by Elisa Delson (One Tree Hill) and White. Eisenpresser serves as producer alongside Matthew Weaver (Rock of Ages), whose MediaWeaver Entertainment company has a first-look deal with Relativity.
It is executive produced by Angela Courtin and Melissa Hagle.
