Relativity re-ups prod'n chief

Relativity Media president of production Tucker Tooley has re-upped for three more years.

Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh said Tuesday that Tooley's contract has been extended through 2011.

Tooley joined Relativity as head of production in 2007 and shortly thereafter was promoted to president of production. He has helped ramp up Relativity's Single Picture Films division so that it is now financing and producing a slate of eight to 10 films a year. In addition, he oversees Rogue Pictures, the genre production unit Relativity recently acquired from Universal.

"Tucker's experience and innate knowledge of the industry have been invaluable to Relativity's success," Kavanaugh said. "He has overseen, developed and brought to the screen a great slate of Relativity movies, and we look forward to working with him for years to come." (partialdiff)
