ICM scores deal with Morricone

Ennio Morricone, who has composed and arranged scores for more than 500 film and television productions over a 45-year career, has signed with ICM. The composer-conductor-musician has earned five Oscar nominations for original score — for "Days of Heaven," "The Mission," "The Untouchables," "Bugsy" and "Malena" — and received an honorary Oscar last year. Rome-born Morricone also is known for his many collaborations with director Sergio Leone on such films as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Once Upon a Time in America." His other credits include "Cinema Paradiso," "Lolita," "Bulworth," "In the Line of Fire" and "La Cage aux Folles." His current project, "Leningrad," directed by "Cinema Paradiso" helmer Giuseppe Tornatore, is set for release later this year. (Kimberly Nordyke)
