Handmaid’s Helper

CAA has signed The Handmaid’s Tale director and co-executive producer Mike Barker. He also has helmed episodes for FX’s Fargo, Starz’s Outlander, ITV’s Broadchurch and Sky Atlantic’s Versailles and The Tunnel. Barker continues to be represented by Jack Thomas of the U.K.’s Independent Talent Group.

UTA-na-na-na

Rapper Young Thug has signed with UTA in all areas. He currently can be heard all over the radio with Camila Cabello on “Havana,” which hit the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. His music video “Wyclef Jean” won an MTV VMA for editing, and he also has been nominated for BET Hip Hop and BET awards. Young Thug, who also has collaborated with Drake, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Future, DJ Carnage, Travis Barker and Elton John, launched record label YSL Records in 2016 and will release a joint album this year produced by Wheezy, Mike WiLL Made-It, 808 Mafia’s Southside and TM88.

Young Thug also has modeled for brands including Calvin Klein and Puma. He continues to be personally managed by Nekia Hauser of Never Panic Management.

Screenwriter Eskil Vogt has signed with ICM Partners. He has written all of director Joachim Trier’s films: Reprise, Louder Than Bombs, Oslo, August 31 and Norway’s 2018 Oscar foreign-language entry, Thelma. Eskil’s own directorial debut, Blind, premiered at Sundance in 2014 and won the World Cinema Screenwriting award at the festival. The graduate of Paris’ prestigious La Femis film school continues to be represented by agent Elinor Burns at the U.K.’s Casarotto Ramsay.

Jawn-ing off

Entertainment host Jawn Murray has signed with Gersh. He recently beefed with Mo’Nique in a series of social media videos, and parlayed the notoriety into new television opportunities. The Washington, D.C.-based commentator has appeared on The Wendy Williams Show, The Meredith Vieira Show, CNN and HLN, and hosted specials for Travel Channel, NFL Network and Epix.

Abrams has hired two agents to its commercial department:

— Elizabeth “Libby” Warren began her career at Central Talent Booking and Alta Entertainment, and most recently worked in the adult commercial department at The Osbrink Group.
— Jennifer Hyde started her career at Ford Models and spent the past three years managing the 700-plus client roster at Brady, Brannon & Rich.

Hyde and Warren will be based in Abrams’ Los Angeles office and report to commercial department vp Kristin Nava.

— Isaiah Mustafa, who plays Luke Garroway on Freeform’s Shadowhunters
— Nathaniel J. Potvin, the star of Disney XD’s Mech-X4

Status PR has signed:

— Sammi Hanratty, who recurs as Kassidi on Showtime’s Shameless
— Kirrilee Berger, who recently recurred on both Amazon’s Just Add Magic and Disney’s K.C. Undercover

— Merit Leighton, who voices Lucinda the Witch on Disney Junior’s Sofia the First

New York-based agency Harden, Curtis, Kirsten & Riley has signed actor James Riordan, who most recently portrayed Vice Admiral Blouin in The Post. He continues to be managed by Sirensong Entertainment.
