Revamped 'Spider-Man' Off to Strong Start

The musical has earned $809,000 over five preview performances that were at 95% capacity, Broadway League reports.

The revamped Broadway Spider-Man production is bringing in the bucks.

The musical, which returned last Thursday after a brief hiatus to accommodate the new creative team that has taken over, earned $809,941 for five preview performances last week, according to Broadway League.

It played before mostly full audiences at the Foxwoods Theater. The average ticket cost: $88.52.

Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is set to open June 14.

Before it went on hiatus, Spider-Man's preview performances in April regularly earned between $1.3 million and $1.5 million a week at the Foxwoods, Broadway’s largest theater with 1,930 seats, according to the New York Times.
