Revolution's Totino adding COO stripes

Revolution Studios chief financial officer Vince Totino has been promoted to the additional position of chief operating officer. The move comes on the heels of the departure of chief operating officer Jeff Smalls, who has been named chief operating officer of DreamWorks.

In his new role, Totino will oversee business and legal affairs, physical production and administration and also will oversee Revolution Studios' international distribution partners. He will assume his new duties immediately.

While the company is winding down from being a full-fledged production banner, it does have a seven-picture release slate through the end of next year. Among the movies are "Rocky Balboa," the Halle Berry-Bruce Willis thriller "Perfect Stranger," Julie Taymor's musical "Across the Universe" and the Nicolas Cage-Julianne Moore action film "Next."

Totino joined Revolution, which was founded in 2000, as vp finance in 2001. Before that, he was director of finance for Brillstein-Grey Entertainment and worked at Universal Studios in the corporate finance department. He began his career in 1992 at KPMG, where he worked in the audit department in a variety of industries and received CPA certification.
