Revolver dives into Adult Swim

CANNES -- British home entertainment distributor Revolver Entertainment has acquired exclusive U.K. and EireIrish home entertainment rights to Turner's adult-oriented animation franchise Adult Swim.

Revolver will handle more than 100 titles including such hits as "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," "Robot Chicken," "12 Ounce Mouse," "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" and "Space Ghost Coast to Coast."

"We are already big fans of the shows. We know it can cross continents and British audiences love this type of irreverent animation," Revolver managing director Justin Marciano said.

Revolver, which will appoint a dedicated brand manager to roll out at least 15 DVD releases in the first year, said that the deal also includes exclusive home entertainment rights for Nuts TV, which broadcasts on the Sky and Freeview digital platforms.

Revolver will work with Turner to create branded Nuts TV-DVD content aimed at young males, leveraging the TV channel and the No. 1 best-selling men's weekly magazine for cross-promotional support.
