MacFarlane, who directed the raunchy 2012 comedy Ted, is starring in, directing and co-writing the comedy, which follows a sheep farmer who loses his woman after chickening out on a gun duel. He meets a another woman who teaches him how to handle a gun and be more confident. Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin penned the screenplay with MacFarlane.
Co-financing with MRC, Universal will distribute the project. It’s scheduled to hit theaters in North America on May 30, 2014.
Linn, who starred as Frank Tripp on CSI: Miami, recently wrapped shooting a role in Devil’s Knot, the highly anticipated film starring Reese Witherspoon and Colin First about the West Memphis Three case. Linn is repped by ROAR.
