Rihanna, Cara Delevingne Turn 'Valerian' Red Carpet Into Couture Runway
As glam as it gets.
The reviews are in: Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets stars Rihanna, Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan are hands-down the best-dressed of the week. (The same praise has not been bestowed on the film itself, but that's neither here nor there.)
The trio hit the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere Monday evening, where they were joined by their high-profile friends and family, including Kendall Jenner, Poppy Delevingne and Sasha Lane, the latter of whom arrived on the arm of Moschino's creative director, Jeremy Scott. Tara Reid also was there.
Let's start with RiRi: The singer had a true Cinderella moment as she stepped out of her limo in a sweeping, bubblegum pink Giambattista Valli Couture gown from the designer's fall 2016 couture show, which she paired with custom lace-up Manolo Blahnik sandals (being friends with the shoe designer has its perks) and jewels from Chopard — another luxury brand with whom she's collaborated.
Cara, too, opted for couture, stepping out in a glittering Iris van Herpen couture silver high-neck gown straight off the Paris couture runway where it was shown earlier this month. The model-turned-actress mimicked the wavy texture of the dress by styling her supershort 'do in the fashion of Old Hollywood glossy waves, which showed off her Repossi jewels.
Jenner opted for an off-the-shoulder LBD by Spanish designer Carmen March, while DeHaan also kept it clean and simple in a Prada suit and patterned green shirt. His arm candy for the evening was his wife, Anna Wood, who was glowing in a green fringed Marchesa gown.
Cara's big sis, Poppy, sparkled her way down the carpet in an '80s-inspired Zuhair Murad black jumpsuit and Jennifer Fisher earrings, while 15-year-old Disney star Jackson kept things on the girly side in a ruffled Marchesa frock. Lane embraced the sci-fi theme of the film by stepping out in a caped olive green Moschino minidress that showed off her tattooed shoulders and black heeled combat boots.
Overall, the evening was about as glam as Hollywood premieres get.
