Huntsman would fill the seat vacated by Sara Haines, who will host a third hour of 'Good Morning America.'

ABC News is in talks to hire Fox News host Abby Huntsman as a castmember on morning talk show The View, The Hollywood Reporter can confirm.

Huntsman joined Fox News as a correspondent in 2015 and co-hosts the weekend edition of morning show Fox & Friends.

ABC News had no comment on the news, which was first reported by HuffPost, and a Fox News spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Huntsman would take the seat scheduled to be vacated by Sara Haines, who is leaving The View at the end of this season to host a third hour of Good Morning America with Michael Strahan.

She's the daughter of Jon Huntsman Jr., a former Republican presidential candidate who is serving as Donald Trump's ambassador to Russia.

Abby Huntsman, like her father, has some centrist tendencies, and is not reflexively conservative. She made some headlines on July 15, when she appeared to ding the president's meeting with Vladimir Putin by tweeting, "No negotiation is worth throwing your own people and country under the bus."

Before joining Fox News, Huntsman co-hosted the now-canceled MSNBC show The Cycle.

Were she to join The View, Huntsman would add another conservative voice to a cast that also includes Meghan McCain.
