Rita Ora is Naked at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Well, not exactly. But the singer's afterparty outfit change left little to the imagination.
There is rarely a red carpet Rita Ora doesn't slay. And Sunday's Oscars were no exception. The singer wore a regal yet youthful Marchesa gown upon her entrance, before changing into a black and white custom Vera Wang during her performance of Oscar-nominated song "Grateful" from the film Beyond the Lights. Of course Ora changed again for Vanity Fair's annual Oscars soiree, and showed up in a black custom Donna Karan Atelier gwn that featured layers of strategically-placed chiffon to cover Ora's, uh, parts.
"What we did for Vanity Fair is so cool," Ora stylist Jason Rembert excitedly told us over drinks in New York last week. "It's custom!" As for the process of a designer actually getting a made-to-order piece on a bright-young-thing like Ora, Rembert told us that the performer is lucky enough to receive sketches from designers, which she then sifts through before commissioning a look. So cool.
So there you have it. No, Ora wasn't technically naked. But she kind of looked like she was. And that has to count for something, right?
