The eight-episode scripted series will be available on Netflix on Dec. 1.

Rob Schneider's comedy series Real Rob is coming to Netflix, a representative for the streaming service tells The Hollywood Reporter.

The eight-episode scripted series, starring, produced and directed by Schneider, will come to Netflix on Dec. 1. It is the first time the series will be airing.

Real Rob will be available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. It is distributed by Tricon Films & Television.

The series mixes scripted comedy with Schneider's stand-up performances and is "an exaggerated yet brutally honest depiction of Schneider’s real life."

"I couldn't be more thrilled to have our audience watch Real Rob on the best platform in the world — Netflix,” Schneider said in a statement.

According to the release, the show follows Schneider as he manages "the ups and downs of a Hollywood career," his family life, "ever-present stalker" Max Amini and his "completely incompetent assistant" Jamie Lissow. Norm Macdonald and George Lopez will make guest appearances.
